I utilize glass as the primary means to create sculptural objects that are a reflection of my life. In my process I draw from memory and personal experience, exploring emotions, the threads connecting people while trying to find understanding though them. I look to the relationships between the past and the present; blurring the lines separating the real and the imagined, with the reality of the situation giving way to a metaphor created by removing my personal experience. My work mimics the world as I see and understand it, trying to tell a story whose roots are based in reality yet stands before the viewer as an ambiguous, fanciful narrative.
