Carmen Lozar’s current work uses the figure in situational narratives, aiming to evoke camaraderie with her viewer. Conjuring feelings of empathy, joy or melancholy Lozar searches for the common ground that connects us all.
Lozar currently practices her craft in Normal, IL and teaches at nearby Illinois Wesleyan University. She loves to travel and teach, most recently in England, Italy, Turkey, and New Zealand. Her work is included in the collections of the Bergstrom Mahler Museum, MAD, and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. Carmen is represented by Ken Saunders Gallery in Chicago, IL.
